Muscle Loading

Muscles are loaded by performing movements against a resistance to maximal muscular contraction. This greatly improves strength and is referred to as working to repetition maximum (RM) against a selected resistance.


Maintaining strict exercise technique and working to failure, the following effects may be expected.


. repetitions from 1-6 RM produce strength
. repetitions from 1-6 RM with speed produce power
. repetitions from 7-14 RM produce muscular endurance
. repetitions greater than 15 produce stamina.


Working to repetition maximum in this way is known as overloading the muscles.

Do you believe?

Do you believe that you can work from home and get real results? Or thats not possible because you can't be fully motivated at home to get real results. Well more and more people are working out at home because it's less expensive and just more convenient. You would be surprised to see what just basic exercises can achieve without all the fancy equipment. Just try doing push ups and sit ups consistently and see what happens, now a days people place too much emphasis on machines and workout programs when all they should be doing is just a basic routine consistently. Enjoy exercising, do a hill walk or a beach walk with friends, laugh and talk , enjoy the scenery and while you are enjoying the walk you are exercising and getting results. You don't have to prove anything to anyone, just take it easy and do your thing. Surveys have shown that the people who exercise fanatically end up with more injuries than people who just take it easy and watch their diet to help with the weight control. Beast Mode!

Beast mode, thats what's happening in the fitsyque home workout. many people believe its not possible to work out at home and get the kind of development you see in the gym but I beg to differ, here is Chunka and Danny in full 'Beast Mode' and neither them has been in a commercial gym in years. So I put it to you, 'Can you workout at home and get what you want?' and my answer is 'YES YOU CAN?'

Punching bag and its many uses.

The punching bag has many uses and today I'll just mention a few of these uses. The bag can be used to give you a great cardio workout, simply unleash on the bag in 3 minute periods resting a minute between each period and prepare yourself for the burn because you are going to burn a lot of calories. The bag can also be used to release angry pent up energy, just unleash on the bag for as long as you can until all the negative energy is drained from your body. And final use I want to talk is about is using the bag as a warm up for your workout a great way to warm up and to introduce a little variety to your routine. there are lots of other uses for the bag especially for fighters but the uses mentioned above are pretty good for the normal everyday exercisers who is just seeking to bring a little variety to his or her workout.

On our quest to continue our fitness program and make it fun, we will be heading to the Blue Mountain Peaks in June.We have decided that we don't want to be stuck in the gym, doing the same routine over and over again which will give you results no doubt but can become very boring. When we do hikes we get to see our country, how beautiful it is and that we need to care our land. Relaxing the mind, in a calm soothing atmosphere. While being challenged physically by the terrain and when you finally reach on top of the mountain which is the highest point in Jamaica you feel a sense of accomplishment not to mention the beauty thats there to see.


I love this kind of challenge, in the army we did a lot of hiking, field craft, very challenging but when you do it you know you have done a workout. I would like to take the time out to tell people that its not only gym workouts that can give you the body you want, there are many ways to get fit and stay fit. Taking up a sport, learning a new sport can be challenging, physically and mentally, keeps your brain sharp. They say we become old when we stop learning new things. So start a home program today, get with friends, plan little outings, beach walks, hiking, walks in the park, swimming laps in a pool or at the beach or just getting together and doing a Fitness DVD, there are so many options don't let because you don't have the money for gym fee, you don't get fit. Squats are the most feared exercise. Many people don't like to squat, they fear injury but when done correctly squatting is one of the most rewarding exercise as is with most complex exercises. Most of our strength comes from our legs and I have seen many instances where people, mostly men don't do leg work and they create an imbalance in their physique(upper body becomes too large in proportion to lower body)
  Leg work releases the hormone that makes us stronger overall. Our legs are our foundation and if the foundation is weak then obviously we are going to have problems. Squatting is a very complex exercise and must be done to strict form.
  In conclusion remember never shy away from leg work, if you can't do the squats then use a leg machine, there are many types(leg press, leg extensions, leg curls, abductor, adductor, hack squat)find the one that works for you. Dig deep and 'Make Fitness Fun'

The benefits of couples exercising together

The couple that exercise together, stays together. Exercise is a great way for couples to spend quality time together and bond. During exercise couples will get to know their partners strengths and weakness, allowing them to become even closer. When you are aware of your partners strengths and weakness you will know their capabilities. People tend to talk about the parts of their body that they don't like and work harder to correct whatever they deem as the problem, again partners will learn this from exercising with their partner and so they can help to boost their partners self confident about this particular problem area. The fitter, stronger and flexible you become the better your sex life, again couples will benefit from exercising together, boosting each other with this thought in mind. Hiking


If you have never been on a hike I highly recommend that you try it, very relaxing, allowing you to get away from the grind and just to get back to nature ane enjoy natural beauty. Fitness comes in many ways and I can help you to design a program that's fun and effective.
On our way to Hollywell in the Blue Mountains, hiking is a beautiful way to exercise and bond with your love ones. The beautiful scenery helps you to relax and unwind, My aim is to educate people to the fact that you don't have to spend all your time in the gym doing the same routines over and over again. Maybe its time to start knowing your country a little bit better, see how beautiful our country is and then maybe we will take care of it better and have less war strife in our beautiful little country.
